I found it very interesting that Marcus didn't realize that Charlie had something wrong with him before he did, I found it pretty obvious something was wrong with Charlie. At the same time i think its odd that Marcus was so easily able to figure out that Charlie thought Marcus was James McTavish. I would never see Mac from McTavish that easily.
