David R. First post

Pop was an interesting and fast paced novel that surprised me in a lot of ways.  When Marcus decided to risk everything and take Charlie to his college hall of fame induction, I thought Marcus was in way over his head and was making very poor choices especially since he had been in trouble with the police a couple times recently before.  However, Marcus didn't really suffer a harsh consequence like I thought he would.  Although I am happy everything ended up working out for Marcus in the end, I thought it was a bit unrealistic that nothing bad ended up happening to Marcus because what he did was incredibly risky and dangerous.
