SalL10-First Blog

I am glad that a sports themed book was put on the Summer Reading List this year. From the beginning this book caught my eye because the author, Gordon Korman, made it interesting plus the added bonus that it is easy to relate to, considering that I am also a high school student. However, I thought that this book was going to be your average sports book where there is one main character that comes out on top. To my surprise though, there was more to this book than just someone always winning. There were also lessons about practice, friendship and dedication woven throughout the text.
