Second Half of the Book
When Charlie was inaugurated into the East Bonaventure Hall of Fame, I didn't know what to think. Marcus knew that Charlie deserves this achievement. On the other hand, I also thought about how Charlie would react to being at his old college. I was not expecting him to be to able walk up to the stand and say a short speech. It was also shocking to me that the cop let Marcus go to the football game and finish out the game. This event would never happen in my town. The town doesn't revolve around football. I find it a little unrealistic that Marcus ran off the field in the middle of the game just because he saw Charlie walking up the stairs on the bleachers. I find it hard to believe that he was focusing on the game and on Charlie.

I agree with Liam because it would be hard to focus on the game and Charlie because the bleachers would be crowded with fans screaming and cheering because this was the biggest game for them. He would get badly injured if he wasn't paying full attention to the game because someone from the other team tackled him really hard while he was looking at Charlie
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Tom and Liam, It was completely unrealistic that there was such a little response from Marcus's team and the crowd. I would've expected someone like his coach or a teammate to try and stop him. Another thing that me doubt the possibility of this happening was that no one else was trying to stop charlie from climbing on top of the stadium.
ReplyDeleteI also agree. If this were to actually happen, it would not have happened as it did in the book. In real life a player would not just run off the field. He would get in a lot of trouble for running of the field. Also, a player knows that a game is very important and would not risk anything by running off the field.
ReplyDeleteIt just happens to be that Marcus was able to pick Charlie out of all the people in the bleachers. With all the people sitting to watch the game it would have taken him longer to pick out Charlie.
