First Blog

So far I've enjoyed reading POP, because its been very unpredictable and interesting.  The main character Marcus seems to be a normal kid who wants to just fit in with everyone else in the new town he moved to.  One confusing part for me right now is I really don't understand who this Stalin character is, besides that this book is a good and easy read.

  1. I have read the first 5 chapters and I am already starting to get a vibe about our main character Marcus. It seems that he is no threat to the star quarterback, Troy Popavich, because on the field Marcus chokes as the lineman rush him because I think he is afraid of getting injured. Also, Marcus seems to like Alyssa and this can trigger a psychological fear in Troy that he will loose her and it can put him into a slump so he may not play as well. I really think that Troy should decide if he wants to go out with Alyssa or put her out of his mind and not care if Marcus goes out with her.
